FOR OUR DELEGATES

THANK YOU

First, we would like to give a huge thank you to our seven incredible speakers. We greatly appreciate the time and energy that they have put into making TEDxQueensU: MOMENTUM such a worthwhile event. Our speakers have adapted to the hurdles thrown their way this year with patience and flexibility. We feel so lucky for the opportunity to hear from them, and hope that you feel the same.

We would also like to extend many thanks to the brands and businesses that are featured in our virtual Innovation Lab. These local brands and businesses embody the remarkable creativity, dynamic thinking, and exchange of ideas that TED events aim to spread. Our team is thrilled to provide you with an occasion to learn more about them.

Thank you to all of our generous sponsors, the individuals and companies that made this conference possible. We encourage all of our delegates to take a few moments to look at our in-kind and monetary sponsorship list, as well as the virtual delegate bag. We are incredibly appreciative of their generous support.

We truly hope that you enjoy our conference this year. Whether this is your very first TEDxQueensU conference or your twelfth, we want to welcome you to our TEDxQueensU community. We hope that the ideas, lessons, and conversations you have been exposed to today catalyze your curiosity, foster new successes, and inspire you to evolve with our ever changing world.

As our conference ends, the conversations don’t. We hope you keep the TEDxQueensU spirit alive as you move forward in every aspect of your life.

GEORGE'S ORIGAMI TUTORIAL

In celebrating momentum as this year’s conference theme, we wanted to pay homage to one of the greatest testaments of momentum in nature: mountains. TEDxQueensU team member, George Hodges, will lead our delegates through the creation of a simple origami mountain range. By engaging in this accessible and entertaining craft, we hope our delegates can take a moment to reflect on the momentum in their own lives and the world around them.

Delegates can participate by watching George’s tutorial, which is scheduled in our first break of the afternoon. To partake in the activity, the only material required is a square piece of paper. For those delegates who received a physical Delegate Bag, red origami paper can be found in the front page of the Kingston Life magazine for your use.

Share your finished work of art on any social media platform, tag us @tedxqueensu, and you’ll be entered into a draw to win some incredible prizes!
